News from around the Eastern Region

Survey shows we could do better

The Eastern Region club communication and satisfaction survey carried out recently on Survey Monkey showed the Eastern Regional Committee (ERC) is valued by clubs. There was, however, a feeling among respondents that the committee needed to market itself more affectively. Clubs also said they’d like to see more of ERC officers on the ground, and many said they didn’t know who was their local association rep on the ERC. In response, clubs are being encouraged to add a strap to their website home pages “(name) club is affiliated to The RYA and is a member of (name) local area association”. Clubs are also being encouraged to appoint a Club Communicator to liaise with their local association and the ERC. Full results at this link.
